The tomb in which Yusif ibn Quseir rests has notice­able sim­i­lar­i­ties with the Momine Khatun mau­soleum, since both build­ings were built around the same time and by the same archi­tect. This mau­soleum is also an octag­o­nal tow­er topped with a pyra­mi­dal tent. The facades of the tomb are cov­ered with carved pat­terned designs, sur­pris­ing­ly well pre­served after so many cen­turies. Inside, the tomb is divid­ed into two rooms: the upper cham­ber and, in fact, the crypt itself.
