Stan’s bridge was built a lit­tle before the moun­tain por­tion of the Transfa­garasan, between 1968–1969, cross­ing a for­est road that cross­es the right bank of the Arges and the Transfa­garasan and pro­vides access to the base of the Vidraru dam. The viaduct is a rein­forced con­crete bridge in the shape of an arch that cross­es over the Valea lui Stan.
