The monastery was carved into the rock in the 13th cen­tu­ry and impress­es with its size. The monks arranged the monastery well: the church, the cells of the monks, the kitchen, the refec­to­ry, the room for teach­ing chil­dren, even the stalls for ani­mals — every­thing was carved out of stone by their labor.
