Not far from the vil­lage of Arshan, with­in the Tun­ka Val­ley, there is a mar­ble canyon of the Kyn­gar­ga Riv­er. In the vicin­i­ty of this canyon there is a cas­cade of water­falls. It should be not­ed that the Kyn­gar­ga Riv­er in the Bury­at lan­guage means “drum”. The famous water­falls were formed in the upper part of the Kyn­gar­ga stream. The fall lev­el of each water­fall is very dif­fer­ent, but the high­est reach­es 7 meters. The riv­er bot­tom in the area of the chan­nel is very calm, because most of it is cov­ered with Archean mar­ble.
