The total area of the reserve is 1,433 thou­sand hectares, includ­ing: tun­dra — 585,254 hectares, tun­­dra-marsh — 173,313, water — 603,883, oth­er (sands) — 70,550 hectares. The ter­ri­to­ry of the reserve is part of the tun­dra land­scape zone of North­ern Yaku­tia. Accord­ing to the phys­io­graph­ic zon­ing scheme, the ter­ri­to­ry of the reserve belongs to the sub­re­gion of the Koly­­ma-Anabar coastal low­land tun­dra of the coastal con­ti­nen­tal low­lands and islands of the North Siber­ian low­land phys­io­graph­ic province. The loca­tion of the Ust-Lena Reserve is char­ac­ter­ized in more detail by the scheme of geo­mor­pho­log­i­cal zon­ing of North­ern Yaku­tia, pro­posed by B.G.
