Built to pro­tect Kro­n­stadt from the south, almost com­plete­ly destroyed in 1923. In 1919, when the front of the Civ­il War came close to Pet­ro­grad, the Men­she­viks and Social­ist Rev­o­lu­tion­ar­ies raised an upris­ing in Kro­n­stadt, which was quick­ly sup­pressed. The sig­nal for it was the explo­sion on “Paul I”. The fort received seri­ous dam­age and was removed from the defense. In 1923, the fort was almost com­plete­ly destroyed. Only one frag­ment of the wall remained, where sev­er­al long-range guns were locat­ed dur­ing the siege of Leningrad.
