West­ern Canada’s largest muse­um, with over 93,000 square feet of exhi­bi­tion space on three floors. More than 20 gal­leries are filled with arti­facts from Glen­bow’s col­lec­tion of over a mil­lion objects, empha­siz­ing local his­to­ry. Per­ma­nent exhi­bi­tions include Indige­nous Cul­tures, West­ern Cana­di­an His­to­ry, Asian Art, West African Art, and Mil­i­tary His­to­ry.

The Glen­bow has changed focus to be more of an art gallery, and this is reflect­ed in the tem­po­rary exhi­bi­tions. From Feb­ru­ary 3 — May 21, 2018 will be exhibit­ing Fri­da Kahlo: Her Pho­tos. This exhi­bi­tion is curat­ed by the Fri­da Kahlo Muse­um and is mak­ing its Cana­di­an debut at the Glen­bow Muse­um. The exhib­it is a col­lec­tion of Fri­da Kahlo’s per­son­al pho­tographs and is curat­ed to give an inti­mate view of the famous artist’s per­son­al life, as shown through her own lense.
