Is one of the most mag­nif­i­cent nat­ur­al attrac­tions of Cen­tral Asia. Sit­u­at­ed in the east­ern part of Kyr­gyzs­tan, it attracts tourists from all over the world with its beau­ty, unique nat­ur­al fea­tures and rich cul­tur­al her­itage. Lake Issyk-Kul is locat­ed in the east­ern part of Kyr­gyzs­tan and is one of the largest moun­tain lakes in the world. It is locat­ed at an alti­tude of about 1600 meters above sea lev­el and is sur­round­ed by the majes­tic Tien Shan Moun­tains. Issyk-Kul is more than 180 kilo­me­ters long and about 60 kilo­me­ters wide, mak­ing it one of the most impres­sive bod­ies of water on the plan­et.

One of the amaz­ing fea­tures of Issyk-Kul is its cli­mate. The lake is also known for its still water, which means it does not freeze even in the cold­est months of the year. This cre­ates the oppor­tu­ni­ty for swim­ming and active recre­ation through­out most of the year. The sum­mer sea­son, which lasts from mid-June to ear­ly Sep­tem­ber, is the most pop­u­lar time to vis­it the lake, when the water warms up to a com­fort­able +18°С…+23°С.

In addi­tion, Issyk-Kul is famous for its beach­es, which stretch for more than 600 kilo­me­ters. The sandy and peb­ble beach­es of the lake cre­ate ide­al con­di­tions for relax­ation and swim­ming. Here, tourists can enjoy the sun, beach activ­i­ties and water sports such as cata­ma­ran rid­ing, scoot­ers and surf­ing.

Tourists are also attract­ed to Issyk-Kul by its cul­tur­al and his­tor­i­cal her­itage.
