A memo­r­i­al in Mag­a­dan ded­i­cat­ed to the mem­o­ry of the vic­tims of polit­i­cal repres­sion. The cen­tral mon­u­ment is 15 meters high. Authors: sculp­tor — Ernst Neizvest­ny, archi­tect — Kamil Koza­ev. The cen­tral sculp­ture of the memo­r­i­al is a styl­ized face of a man, from whose left eye tears flow in the form of small masks. The right eye is depict­ed in the form of a win­dow with bars. On the reverse side is a bronze sculp­ture of a cry­ing woman under a non-canon­i­­cal cru­ci­fix. Inside the mon­u­ment is a copy of a typ­i­cal prison cell, which shows the con­tents of pris­on­ers who were sub­ject­ed to repres­sion.
