This nature reserve was giv­en the sta­tus of a nation­al park a quar­ter of a cen­tu­ry ago. It is locat­ed near the bor­der with Guinea. It is named after the near­by moun­tain Autam­ba and the Kil­i­mi Riv­er that flows through this area. More than 100 species of birds, rare species of ani­mals, and many chim­panzees live here. The park ter­ri­to­ry is a mix­ture of forests, savan­nah, and rock for­ma­tions.
