Built in 1923 by Leopold Baumhorn. This syn­a­gogue was built to be unob­tru­sive, in order to try to hide in plain sight from the Jew-hatred of those days. The inte­ri­or is resplen­dent in blue, gold and white col­ors. Dec­o­rat­ed with a Jew­ish reli­gious sym­bol, like the bib­li­cal king’s sons, Jachin and Boaz pil­lars, vault with the Star of David or the wind­ing Mac­cabean lilies on the walls. Around this struc­tured the Holo­caust Memo­r­i­al Cen­ter: a muse­um, a doc­u­men­ta­tion cen­ter, a library, an archives, a media library and a con­fer­ence room.
