This stun­ning­ly beau­ti­ful lake is locat­ed in the Cana­di­an Rock­ies, in Banff Nation­al Park. Sci­en­tists believe that the incred­i­ble col­or that delights many tourists is giv­en to the lake by spe­cif­ic moun­tain glacial flour that arrives here from the glac­i­ers that feed the amaz­ing reser­voir and turns the water into thick turquoise. The pop­u­lar­i­ty of the lake was also brought by its unusu­al shape, rem­i­nis­cent of a wolf’s head.
