Built dur­ing the reign of Anto­nius Pius, 138–161AD, this impres­sive the­ater could seat up to 6,000 peo­ple. Next to it are a folk­lore muse­um and a pop­u­lar cul­ture muse­um which the entrance fee also cov­ers. Next to it is the Odeon the­ater, a small­er the­ater built at the same time.
