Ortho­dox monastery for men of the Velikiye Luki dio­cese of the Russ­ian Ortho­dox Church, locat­ed in the urban-type set­tle­ment of Pushkin­skiye Gory in the Pskov region.
The monastery’s main rel­ic is the icon of the Moth­er of God “Hodege­tria of Svy­ato­gorsk”, which, accord­ing to leg­end, was found around 1566 by the shep­herd Tim­o­fey on one of the hills in the vicin­i­ty of the town of Voronich (now the Voronich set­tle­ment as part of the Pushkin Reserve).
The monastery is known as the bur­ial place of the Russ­ian poet Alexan­der Pushkin (he was buried in the fam­i­ly tomb of the Gan­ni­bals-Pushkins in 1837).
