The Talovskie bowls, which are lit­er­al­ly huge bowls, are made of lime­stone tufa. They took hun­dreds or even thou­sands of years to form, and they were cre­at­ed by water sources with a high lime con­tent com­ing to the sur­face. Accord­ing to gen­er­al­ly accept­ed infor­ma­tion, there are 7 oval bowls, and they are locat­ed in a small clear­ing in the mid­dle of the for­est. The largest of them is 2 meters long, 3.5 meters wide and deep­ens by about 2 meters. These are quite mas­sive for­ma­tions, espe­cial­ly con­sid­er­ing the fact that their walls reach half a meter in width. The water in them is suit­able for drink­ing, and many locals believe that it is also healthy.
