Spread between 1700 and 2800 metres, the bird reserve con­sists of a num­ber of dif­fer­ent habi­tats and there­fore hous­es a daz­zling array of birds. This is the only place in the world where you can see King of Sax­ony or the blue Bird of Par­adise, between July and Sep­tem­ber. This nat­ur­al reserve is one of the most aston­ish­ing places to vis­it in Papua New Guinea.
