It is here that the great patri­archs of the Abra­ham­ic reli­gions are buried: Abra­ham, Isaac and Jacob and their wives — Sarah, Rebec­ca and Leah. Adja­cent to the Tomb of the Patri­archs is the Ibrahi­mi Mosque, the most impor­tant in the city from a his­tor­i­cal point of view.
