The Tzolotl canyon, lit­er­al­ly split­ting the Khun­za­kh plateau, is con­sid­ered the main dec­o­ra­tion of the Khun­za­kh region. The total length of the canyon increas­es from 100 to 1000–1200m. Two water­falls fall into the canyon, formed by the rivers Tobot (its height reach­es 70 meters) and Itly­atl­yar (its height reach­es one hun­dred meters). The pow­er and col­or of the water streams change depend­ing on the sea­son and the weath­er. They are max­i­mal­ly filled in sum­mer, when glac­i­ers in the moun­tains melt, and down­pours fall in the upper reach­es of the rivers.
